Never, ever treat any company in the world as your friend.

A company is a legal entity, created with aim of profit. The higher the profit - the lower the trust that they have your best interest in mind.

That said, at any given point in time, there may be some companies with more trustworthy people at the helm.

This can change. It all depends on the people.

For the time being (5.04.2026) I picked these to balance convenience of life in the modern age vs privacy and 'sticking it to the big tech'.

Windows, MacOS	Linux Mint - for workstations Bazzite - for a gaming / media work PC.	I got fed up with the amount of bullshit coming from MS and Apple. For some time I stupidly believed that MS - with the open source initiatives - could maybe not be that bad... but they have shown their true colours again and again. Linux Mint works extremely conveniently and out of the box even on older hardware. Bazzite runs super well on a gaming PC - same or close efficiency in games. My
