I'm currently sitting at an airport, in a country theoretically vastly different than mine, yet it doesn't feel as different if you look at finer details. Are people everywhere the same, and history is just more of a bitch in some places?
The world seems to be on fucking fire nowadays - why does it feel like there's no news anymore, though?
Inflation and consumer panic? It was as much a headline 50+ years ago as it is now.
[COUNTRY] wagering a proxy war with [COUNTRY] in [insert location in the middle east or southeastern asia].
UN strongly condemns [insert war atrocity].
The climate is going to hell (or already is past the threshold).
Giant scandal onvolving people in power for which they may or may not be held accountable.
I am tired.
Don't get me wrong, we need to pick ourselves up and keep doing something about it, no matter how small.
But we can't really deny, that at this point it's just tiring that we don't know any better as a species.
